Attorney Profile | Ron Lundquist Bankruptcy Lawyer - Eagan, MN
In 1992, I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Criminal Justice. I went on to William Mitchell College of Law, where I won the Moot Court Competition as well as the Burton Brief Award, before graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1996.
My career began in family and criminal law. In 1999, I was hired by one of the largest bankruptcy law firms in Minnesota to help develop their practice. Later, in 2001, the largest bankruptcy law firm in Minnesota hired me. For the five years between 1999 and 2004, I built up an expansive knowledge base of bankruptcy cases and how to empower clients to reclaim control of their finances.
Finally, in 2004, I struck out on my own to act as a bankruptcy attorney in the private sector. I am recognized as a debt relief agency, and provide bankruptcy relief using the laws of the State of Minnesota and the United States Bankruptcy Code.
Now more than 10 years later and almost 20 years since I began my career as an attorney, I know the ins and outs of the court system and laws. I have dealt with every Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Trustee in the metro area many many times. They know me and I know them. I am a well-respected attorney in the Minnesota bankruptcy landscape. I am a member of the Bankruptcy Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and belong to the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
I have even helped formulate the rules surrounding bankruptcy law by previously serving on the Bankruptcy Practice Committee for the District of Minnesota, and before that, serving on the Bankruptcy Rules Committee for the District of Minnesota.
In addition, I have authored several continuing legal education bankruptcy-related materials, and am a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy topics. Several of my full opinion pieces on bankruptcy-related issues have been published in both the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the St Paul Pioneer Press.
Throughout my career, I have been very successful representing my clients. I am proud to have two reported decisions. (Many attorneys go an entire career without getting any!) Those decisions are: In Re Bailey, 425 B.R. 825 (2010), United States Bankruptcy Court, D. Minnesota; and in Re Savage, 426 B.R. 320 (2010), United States Bankruptcy Court, D. Minnesota.
There is an organization called AVVO that rates attorneys on varying characteristics. They look at peer reviews, professional experience, speaking and continuing legal education participation, as well as other factors. I invite you to read my ratings and reviews:

My approach with clients is to be upfront with them, and to educate them, so they know exactly what is going on with their case. I want clients to understand bankruptcy, the process, and how they will benefit from the process. Accessibility and open communication are key. Most of my new clients are referrals from former clients who have appreciated my sincerity, sensitivity, professionalism, and results.
In regard to fees, my approach is to be fair. You will get a very competitive price quote from me up front before any services are rendered. With extensive knowledge of the law, experience, and client attention, no attorney will give you more bang for your buck.
